THE INSPIRATION BEHIND BH1000

In 1940, Britain stood alone. With the threat of invasion looming, the skies above the South East became the stage for one of the most intense aerial battles in history, the Battle of Britain.

The BH1000 collection pays tribute to the pivotal role of RAF Biggin Hill, a cornerstone of Fighter Command’s 11 Group, which stood at the heart of the defence of London. From this airfield, over 1,000 sorties were launched in a determined stand against overwhelming odds.

Having grown up close to Biggin Hill, it is a part of British aviation history that is meaningful to Sortie Watches. The BH1000 collection honours the courage and legacy of those who defended Britain during its darkest hour.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE BH1000 COLLECTION

The BH1000 balances versatility and elegance, going beyond the boundaries of a typical aviation watch to bring a unique and refined fusion of precision engineering, modern aesthetics, and everyday wearability.

Reliable. Versatile. Ready for anything.

Available for pre-order from 7th November 2025, ready to ship by end of December 2025.

DISTINCTIVE DESIGN

More than your typical pilot's watch. The case is sculpted from stainless steel, with both satin-brushed and polished surfaces to catch the eye. The collection is available in three dynamic sunburst dials that celebrate the passion and pride of flight.

BUILT TO LAST

Ready for anything, the BH1000 combines rugged functionality with refined design. Its screw-down crown ensures secure protection in any environment, while 150 metres of water resistance makes it equally at home in the city, on the trail, or in the water.

PRECISION FIT

Carefully proportioned to fit perfectly on the wrist. A 40mm case diameter, 20mm lug width and 47.8mm lug-to-lug beautifully hugs the wrist. The clasp features an on-the-fly micro-adjustment system that allows the wearer to expand the bracelet with a simple pull.

SWISS POWERED

At the heart of the watch is the Sellita SW290-1 Elaboré Grade automatic movement. Running at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and a 41 hour power reserve when fully wound.
